Hunting for Pike with the white PikeFighter

Hunting for Pike with the white PikeFighter

By Eddy te Mebel

I really like fishing with white coloured lures. This has a reason for sure. In general I do not care that much about a lure’s colour, but somehow white just gives better results in my fishing. And it happened quite many times, even when my buddy fished with the exact same lure, but then in another colour.

It nailed the PikeFighter like there’s no tomorrow

Trolling with same lure types in different colours
If you want to be sure about colours, start trolling with 2 similar model lures, but with different colours. For example I start at my side of the boat with a white PikeFighter lure whilst my buddy trolls at his side of the boat with a darker colour PikeFighter. After having fished many days like this, we must conclude that white colours do better.

For a long time we thought it was just coincidence but it isn’t anymore. Therefor we started painting our lures and it simply works well. And besides the productivity of the lure, when fishing in shallower waters, it is a lot easier to follow too.

White colours are very effective

Clear or cloudy water?
I prefer fishing in clear water, but not super clear. Especially in winter time waters can look slightly grayish, whilst being clear enough. I like that best. Only when waters get more cloudy or muddy colour, I start using lures with a higher contrast, such as firetiger colours or yellow & black.

Beautiful lady

More and more I fish with the PikeFighter lures simply because they catch a lot of fish. Logical consequence is that you use such lures more and more often. For the season 2017 Spro added some new colours, which can be checked here. So you could imagine I got really excited when I saw the Albino Ghost and Red Gill Albino. In 2017 these lures will for sure catch a lot of fish for me!
