Fishing in the Dutch polders equals show! Needy fish that show no remorse and do everything possible to intercept your lure. Once hooked they’ll try everything to get rid of those hooks; summersaults, tailwalks and angry jumps. This combined makes for guaranteed life-time memories, made in the Dutch polder scenery! But… How do you approach this style of fishing?
We, humans, see only red, blue and green light. The world as we see it is formed by these three colours. Yet there are more colours than we can see. An example of this is UV, short for Ultra Violet. A common misconception is to mix up Fluorescent, UV and glow in the dark… This is the time to change that!
Many waters are becoming more and more clear. Predators that hunt by sight like pike are in advance here. Even in waters that have a rich history of zanderfishing, nowadays are habited by pike more and more… Often big ones too! So it’s fully justified that fishermen are critical towards their leader materials. Whether you fish for pike or not!
